Where it all Started
We did our first project for the McGrann family in 1988. “I remember that project like it was yesterday,” says Peter Barber. “Anne and Barney McGrann were one of the first to hire us. We painted a few bedrooms for them for $10 per hour + materials.”
In 1994, McGrann family hired Two Dudes Painting Company to paint their entire house, which at the time was the biggest project the Dudes had ever landed.
Fast Forward 22 Years
John and Mara McGrann, who had since purchased the family business, Penn Stone, embarked on a substantial renovation and expansion to their building at 190 W Ross Street in Lancaster City. The project was designed by TONO Architects and RGS Associates, and was constructed by Simeral Construction, another long-time partner and ally of the Dudes.
“It was important to us for the Dudes to be involved in this project, so when we learned that Simeral already had a relationship with them, we knew we were in good hands”, --John McGrann, Owner Penn Stone.
An Inspiring Space
We were honored to have been part of this commercial project. If you haven't had the chance to visit Penn Stone, you should. Their showroom, inside and out, is truly inspiring.
